Babies are funny things. All they seem to do is cry and poo themselves. They also have no taste whatsoever when it comes to music. Let’s talk lullaby music. Wait, that’s not manly enough for you? Well, what about lullaby music set to the likes of Metallica, U2, and the Beatles! They are called Rockabye Baby and they have put out almost 40 albums all covering popular bands set to relaxed lullaby music. Guitar licks and drum solos have been swapped over for glockenspiels and twinkly bells. So long “Bye-Bye Black Sheep,” hello “Sunday Bloody Sunday.” It’s a great idea and I think I may have to pick up a few of these albums. I might even use them for myself before bed.
Check out the cover art on a few of these albums. It makes even the scariest of genres of music seem child-friendly.
It is pretty much a guarantee that my kid will be cooler than your kid, but getting a hold of a few of these albums will solidify the deal. I am looking forward to getting some.
